Workshops - Great Create Extravaganza - August 26th & 27th

Hello Crafters

As you may or may not know, I take my Sentimentally Yours brand of crafty loveliness to most of the major craft shows around the country (time and dates willing!)

Well, this year, at the Great Create Extravaganza in Harrogate on August 26th & 27th, as well as having my BIG stand full of your favourite craft goodies, I will be doing my first ever workshops there!

I'm so excited!

I don't usually do workshops at shows as I like to have time to demo and chat with all of you that make the effort to come to the shows, but, I was able to choose the breakfast workshops, which means I can do the workshops and still be on my stand ready for when the show officially opens!

whoo hoo!

OK, now the important bits,..

Workshop Times: 8:45am - 9:45am (both days)
Workshop Cost: £15 (you pay £3 via Craftwork Cards www (see link) to secure your space, then £12 to us on the day
What You Need To Bring: Nothing! We will provide everything you need :-)
What You Will Be Making: An 8x8 Card using my latest stamps, cosmic shimmer products, dies and more! There will be my own samples there to give you guidance too.
Do You Need To Be Experienced: Nope! My sister and I will be there to help and show you the tips and techniques!
What Else Do You Get: Well, me as your tutor for the hour (ha ha) and we will also give you a special 10% off voucher to use on my stand!
Do You Get Anything Else: Yes! You get early entry to the show (no queuing!)

Pro Marker Workshop..

Good Evening Everyone

Just a quick not for those of you who are coming to my Pro Marker workshop this Sunday..

We are starting at 11 and finishing at 2 (3 hours)

All you need to bring is your pro markers.. doesn't matter if you don't have all the colours, bring what you have :o)

DL Tag Card Workshop

Good Afternoon Everyone!

It's a bit breezy here in Nottingham today, but I'm not complaining.... at least the snow has gone and 'normal' life has resumed!

OK, I have had quite a few requests from people asking me to put photos on my Facebook and Twitter of the cards we have made at my classes...

It's actually easier for me to pop them on my blog (and quicker) so here you go... 

This is our project from this week...

This is a DL Tag card in Cream & Black, using one of the fabulous Saturated Canary images..

Most of you know by now that I adore my Pro Markers, I very rarely make a card where I haven't coloured in and distressed something! And if you look closely, you will see that (as you'd expect) my edges are inked! :o)

I also love my punches and use them all the time... the little butterflies, the heart, the tags and the flowers have all been made using my punches....

Pro Marker Tutorial Workshop

Good Morning Everyone

I have been asked to do another Pro Marker Tutorial Workshop again by so many people now that I thought I better get one booked in!

The earliest date I can find is November 5th (I know, Bonfire night!)

So, here are the details:-

Pro Marker Tutorial Workshop

Monday, 5th November, 10am til 1pm

£25 pp

Held at the shop.

The focus on this tutorial will be characters, skin, hair, clothing, shadows, shading, blending and (in the unlikely even we will have time) we will do some fluffy animals too.

I have a maximum of 12 people on these workshops.

Great British Craft Festival.....

Good Evening Everyone!

My my, I have neglected my blog over the last few weeks! But I have been sooooo busy so I hope you'll forgive me..

I'm just writing this post, whilst I'm sat with a cuppa, to just let you all know that I will be at the Great British Craft Festival at Donington Park for the whole 3 days! 

We kick off next Friday with an action packed day of workshops with myself, Anne-Marie, Debbi Moore and who knows who else will be there ;-)

Then, on Saturday and Sunday, I will be shopping (well, I WILL find some time to shop, before the doors open lol) Seriously though, I will be hosting Make and Take Sessions where you will get half an hour or so with lil ole me to make something fab that you can take with you :-)

It's going to sooooo much fun, I can't wait!

Special 'one off' Box Frame Workshop....

Hi Everyone

I'm just writing to let you know that on Sunday, 15th July I am having a special one off 'Box Fame' workshop at my shop.

This will be (hopefully) a 3 hour workshop (but will probably longer! lol) where we will be painting, stamping, colouring, crackling, glazing, inking, punching and so much more to create a special box frame from scratch (apart from the frame itself, although we will be painting ad stamping it! lol)

The cost of this workshop is £20pp and this includes the box frame.

We will start at 10 and finish (maybe) at 1pm 

I have added a photo of one that I did last year to give you an idea.

I already have names on my list and I am only having a maximum of 12 people so if you want to join me, let me know quickly.

I am doing a Christmas one, but you don't have to (I just think it's a lovely gift!)

Anyhoo... let me know quickly as I don't imagine I will be long filling the spaces!

My pro marker tutorial workshop ...

Evening Everyone (again)

I know, 2 posts within minutes of each other, but I promise I haven't been on the energy drinks lol!

As you may, or may not, know, I had my second pro-marker tutorial workshop at the shop yesterday.... 

what a fabulous day we had!

The focus yesterday was on characters, hair, skin, clothing and the like (all the useful areas!)

I just thought I''d pop a couple of the images on here that we did (for the benefit of those that came who are not on Facebook or Twitter) so you can check back and look at what we did and hopefully it remind you how we did them.

I've put a photo on the the huge fairy image too so hopefully it will give you some inspiration :-)

I know we simply ran out of time (after finishing an hour late!) so my next Pro Marker tutorial workshop will be based on scenery, sky, water etc...

I'll let you all know when I have found a spare day to get this booked in!

New Workshop...

Good Afternoon Everyone

I'm just letting you know that I am planning on starting a new Wednesday evening class at the beginning of July...

This is because I have so many people waiting for spaces on my Thursday evening class (which is full!) so I thought a new group on a Wednesday evening would be nice :-)

If you are interested, please let me know asap, I limit spaces to 12 maximum and I already have some filled.

It will be 6-8pm each Wednesday and it's £8.50 each.
