Good  Evening Everyone

Thank you all for your lovely comments and messages on my previous post, its good to know you are enjoying replicating some of my posts, and that you gain inspiration from these. It makes it all worthwhile.

Today's card is one I particularly enjoyed making as it didn't  take too long and only used a few products, but I must say I was very pleased with the result.

All the products used to make this are listed below and are available on Phill's Website:-

www.honeypotcrafts.co.uk

Cream Card Stock
Timeless Collection Large Oval Frame Stamp Set
Timeless Collection Small Oval Frame Stamp Set
Timeless Collection Everyday Sentiment Banners A5
Bright Gold Embossing Powder
Bakers Twine
Sue Wilson Embossing Folder - Climbing Vines
Creative Expressions Art Deco Victorian & Decorative Metal  Corner Embellishments
Padlock & Key Metal Charms
Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue
Perfect Medium

This is how I created the Card Front

Using Cream Card Stock I cut the layers as follows

1st layer 7.75 square
2nd layer 7.5 square
3rd layer 7.25 square
4th layer 6.25 square
5th layer 6" square

Next taking the 2nd and 4th layers I used Perfect Medium and Bright Gold Embossing Powder on the edges.

Then I used the Climbing Vines Embossing Folder on layers 3 & 5

I then attached all the layers together using Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue.

Sentiment

Using the  Timeless Large Oval and Small Oval Stamps I stamped these onto cream card and heat embossed them using Bright Gold Embossing Powder.

I then chose the largest Banner the  'With Very Best Wishes' Sentiment and again heat embossed in gold.

After cutting these out I attached the Ovals to the card using pads to give dimension.

Then I shaped the 'Banner' and attached with Cosmic Shimmer glue.

Finishing Touches

I made a quadruple bow using Bakers Twine and attached the Padlock and Key and finally I added the Art Deco Metal Corners using Cosmic Shimmer Glue.

Happy Birthday To You - Showcasing The Brand New Dies - 'From The Heart' Collection

Good Morning Everyone,

A brighter day is forecast for Nottingham, I  hope the weatherman is right.

Thank you all so much for your very kind comments and messages on my previous post.

Today's card is one I made for The Trade Show at the N.E.C. I would like to share it with you so you can see how stunning  Phill's New Dies are.

Although this is an A4 card, it can be adapted for smaller cards.

All the products I used to create this card are available of Phill's Website:-

www.honeypotcraft.co.uk

This is what I used:-

Burgundy Card Stock
Cream Card Stock
Dies by Phill Martin - 'From The Heart' Collection
Sue Wilson Noble Dies - Ornate Pierced Rectangle
Sue Wilson Spanish Collection - Corner Border & Tag
Sue Wilson Rambling Blossom Embossing Folder
Spellbinder Flutters
Glossy Accents
Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue
Creative Expressions Pearl Strips
Glitter Jewels - Diamond Snow

This is how I created it:-

I started by making a 'card front'

layer 1.
Burgundy Card cut to 11.75 x 8.25

layer 2.
Cream Card cut to 11.5 x 8

layer 3.
Burgundy card cut to 11 x 7.75

I then layered these together flat.
Next I cut a piece of Cream Card 10.75 x 7.5 and Embossed it using the Rambling Blossom Embossing Folder, and attached flat.

Border Die:-

Using Burgundy Card I cut 2 border dies out and attached these flat lining them up with the smallest layer of burgundy card.

Sentiment

Using the largest of the rectangle dies I cut this out using Burgundy Card and then cut the patterned one out in cream and mounted it onto burgundy card before attaching both of these to the card using pads to give dimension.

I then cut out the 'Happy Birthday To You' in both Cream and Burgundy Card and glued them together (staggered) to give the 'shadow effect'
I then attached the sentiment to the card using pads.

Next I cut the butterfly out using a small scrap of burgundy card, and attached to the card.

Finishing Touches :-

I added pearl strips to the edges of the borders. Then on the outer edge of the sentiment die I added Diamond Snow Glitter Jewels.
The butterfly I edged the tip of the wings with diamond snow and glossy accents to centre of the wings.

Finally I added glossy accents to the Hearts of the Sentiment.
The card front is now ready to attach to an A4 card blank.

                                             Happy Crafting....

Burgundy & Cream - On Your Special Day- Showcasing The Brand New Dies 'From The Heart Collection'

Good Morning Everyone,

I can't begin to tell you how honoured I am to have Phill's New 'From The Heart' Collection Dies to work with. They are absolutely amazing, and cut first time every time.

For those of you who know Phill you will know what he's like for attention to detail. Well I can say he has certainly excelled himself with the launch of his New Dies.

I absolutely loved creating the samples, and hope these will give you inspiration.

Today's Card:-

All the products used to create this card are available on Phill's Website:-

www.honeypotcrafts.co.uk

This is what I used:-
A4 Card Blank
Burgundy Card Stock
Cream Card Stock
Phill Martin Dies From The Heart Collection - On Your Special day
Sue Wilson Dies Austrian Collection - Innsbruck
Sue Wilson Peony Dies
Sue Wilson Laurel Leaves
Sue Wilson Canadian Collection Border, Corner & Tags
Sue Wilson Embossing Folder Lattice Hearts
Spellbinder Dragon Delight
Creative Expression Pearl Strips
Glossy Accents

Cosmic Shimmer Glue

This is what I did:-

First I cut the layers:-
2 pieces of burgundy  card cut to 8 x 12.5 and 7.5 x 12
2 pieces of cream card cut to 7.75 x 12.25 and 7.25 x 11.75
then using the Lattice Hearts Embossing Folder I embossed the  smallest cream card.
Placing the corner tag at an angle I carefully cut this out, then added all the layers to the base card.

Sentiment

Using the  Austrian Collection  Innsbruck Dies
I cut these out using Cream Card and mounted this onto Burgundy card, then attached to the main card using pads to give dimension.

Then using burgundy card stock I cut out the Sentiment 'On Your Special Day' from  the New 'From The Heart ' Collection.
I then attached this flat to the centre.

Flowers

Using the Peony Dies I cut a selection of flowers out using scraps of burgundy card stock, then shaped and glued these together before adding to the card.

I then cut out the Laurel Leaves again using burgundy card, and added to the card.

Finishing Touches

I added the Dragonfly using the Dragon Delight Die and Burgundy Card stock, before adding Diamond Sprinkles to the wings, and also to the flowers and leaves.

I then added pearl strips across the top of the border die.

I attached a couple of hearts to the top corners of the card.

Finally I added Glossy Accents to the Hearts of the Sentiment and corners.

Ultimate Baroque Collection - Have A Wonderful Birthday

Good Morning Everyone.

Another day closer to Christmas, so for those of you who have completed their cards I thought we would have a change and do a Birthday Card.

Today's card I created in Black & Cream. All the products I used can be found on Phill's Website -

www.honeypotcrafts.co.uk

This is what I used:-

Black Card Stock
Cream Card Stock
Sentimentally Yours Baroque Border Sentiment A5 Stamp Set
Sue Wilson Noble Dies - Ornate Pierced Rectangles
Sue Wilson Dies Laurel Leaves
Sue Wilson Dies Peony
Creative Expression Pearl Strips
Black Soot Distress Ink
Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue

Using Black Card Stock I cut the shape of the card using the largest of the Pierced Rectangle Dies.

Then using the next 2 sizes down and Cream Card Stock I cut these out and attached to the main card (flat) using Cosmic Shimmer Glue.

Sentiment

Using Cream Card Stock and the smallest plain die I cut this out.

I then stamped across the centre using the Baroque Strip from the Border Sentiment Stamps and Black Soot Distress Ink.

Next I chose 'Have A Wonderful Birthday' from the Baroque Border Sentiments and stamped this again using Black Soot Distress Ink.
I attached to the card using pads to give dimension, then decorated the edges with Twinkles

Finishing Touches

I cut several flowers using The Complete Peony Dies and alternating with Black & Cream Card.

I then cut the Laurel Leaves using Cream Card, then while these were still in the die I used Black Soot Distress Ink to colour the leaves.

I then shaped these and attached to the card.
Finally I added Pearls around the edges of the Black Card and also the Cream layer, not forgetting the centre of each flower.

                                 Happy crafting

Ultimate Baroque Collection - To A Special Friend

Good Morning Everyone

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my previous post.

As promised I am going to post smaller cards, as many of you have requested, so here we go with today's card:- A very straightforward one.

All the products used to create this card can be found on Phill's Website -
www.honeypotcrafts.co.uk

I used:-
Plain White Card Stock
Sentimentally Yours Baroque Sentiment Stamps
Decadent Colour Cloud Blending Ink - Denim
Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels
Creative Expressions Pearl Strips
Noble Dies Ornate Pierced Design
Perfect Peony Complete Petals

I cut the card shape out using the largest of the Noble Dies.

Then using plain white card I cut the 2 largest dies out and edged using Denim Colour Cloud Blending Ink, then attached flat to card using Cosmic Shimmer Glue.

Next I used the 2 middle sized dies and again cut out using plain white card, and once again edged in Denim Colour Cloud. I then attached to card using pads.

Sentiment

Using the smallest plain Die I cut this out using white card stock.

I then stamped the Sentiment using Denim Colour Cloud and again around the edges.

Then attached to the card using pads to give dimension.

Finishing Touches

Using white card stock and the Peony Dies I cut several of these out, and while they were still in the die I used Denim Colour Cloud to blend the petals and leaves.

I then shaped the flowers and attached to card using Cosmic Shimmer Glue.

I added Glitter Jewels to the edge of the main card and also to the flowers and leaves, before finally adding a small pearl to the centre of each flower.

Ultimate Baroque Collection - Wedding Card in Teal & White

Hello Everyone,

Phill is very busy with the HOCHANDA  Shows today, I hope you are enjoying his demo's and learning some new techniques.

Today's card is one I did for the show, its another large card as I absolutely love creating these, but I promise the cards for the next few days will be smaller ones, as lots of you have requested these.

For anyone wanting to replicate this card these are the products I used .... which are all available on Phills Website - www.honeypotcrafts.co.uk

A4 Card Blank
White Card Stock
Teal Mister spray by Phill Martin
Colour Cloud Blending Ink by Phill Martin

Sue Wilson Dies Perfect Peony Complete Petals
Sue Wilson Dies Laurel Leaves
Sue Wilson Dies Noble Ornate Pierced Rectangles

I used a White A4 card and cut the first layer using plain white card stock to 11.75 x 8 then sprayed this with Teal Mister Spray. Once this was dry I attached flat to the card.

The second layer I cut to 11x 7.25
Then using the New Baroque Corner Stamps I embossed each corner using Silver Shine Embossing Powder.
I then embossed this using the Lattice Heart Embossing Folder, and attached flat to the card.

Next using plain white card stock I cut 2 panels, the first on 4.75 x 11 and the second 4.5 x 10.75.
I then used Mister Spray on the first panel.
Using the long stamp from the sentiment set I heat embossed the second layer at the top and bottom, then embossed with the Lattice Hearts. This was then attached to the card using pads to give dimension.

Sentiment

Using the second and third largest  Noble Pierced Rectangle Dies I cut these out using plain white card stock and sprayed the plain one with Mister Spray.

I then heat embossed the Sentiment and glued them both together before attaching to the card, again using pads.

Finishing Touches

Using a sheet of plain white card stock I sprayed it with Mister Spray, and once dried ( a couple of minutes) I cut several of the flowers out using the Perfect Peony Die.
I shaped these and glued them together, then used cosmic shimmer glue and Glitter Jewels Iced Snow to the edges of the petals.

I then cut out the Laurel leaves and while these were still in the die I used Teal Colour Cloud to highlight, then again added Iced Snow.
I then added all the flowers and leaves to the card.

Finally using Pearl Strips I edged around the Sentiment with a double row.

I really enjoyed making this card, and hope you will too.

Giveaway Card - Birthday Wishes in Chic Moss

Good Afternoon Everyone

So,.. here I am, with enough time to actually do a Blog post and I thought, it's been a while since I did a card giveaway,so .. here you go :-)

I'll just say a big thank you to Barb too, she's doing a grand job keeping you inspired with some of her cards she's made for me for samples.. Thanks Barb!

This is an 8x8 card I made using some of my Chic Moss collection of Cosmic Shimmer products (a colour that I absolutely love!)

To be in with a chance to win this card, signed by lil ole me, please just ensure you are following my Blog and leave a comment on this post..
I'll draw a winner randomly next Monday morning (14th) and notify you here :-)

Here's what I used (and, surprisingly, I've made the list links to the items on my website too (well, it does make it easier for you to swish over and buy them lol)

Sentimentally Yours Dragonfly Retreat A6 Background Stamp
Sentimentally Yours Scribbled Frame Sentiments Stamp Set (must have set in my humble opinion)
Chic Moss : Colour Cloud, Ink Mister and PVA Glue
Sue Wilson Delicate Fronds Die Set
Sue Wilson Delicate Daisies Complete Petals Die Set (must have set in my humble opinion)
Sue Wilson Ornamental Corners Die Set
Sue Wilson Pierced Tags Die Set
Sue Wilson A4 Leafy Montage Embossing Folder
Creative Expressions Self Adhesive Pearl Strips - Double Row White
Creative Expressions Smoothies

And here's what I did...

I embossed an A4 piece of white cardstock with the lovely Leafy Montage embossing folder, (important to do this before trimming it down as embossing cardstock alters the dimensions slightly) I then trimmed it to 19.5cm x 19.5cm.

I then cut the aperture to the left side of my embossed cardstock and I did this with one of Sues' Striplet dies as most have the plain outer edge (you can, of course, use your craft knife)
I positioned the aperture onto my card blank as if I was going to stick it and made a pencil mark around all four corners (this gave me a a guide with which to stamp within)

Using the fabulous Smoothies and my even more fabulous Dragonfly Retreat background stamp, I applied Chic Moss Colour Cloud directly to the stamp and stamped within the pencil lines.

At this point, you may find it easier to apply the self adhesive pearls around the aperture (I do it at the end so I don't have them where they don't need to be, but it is trickier trying to navigate them under flowers etc) The single row was created by simply cutting a strip of the double row pearls in half :-)

I then used foam tape on this piece, for dimension, then stuck it to my card blank.

I then did all my die cutting, which was:-
4 x daisies x 2
2 x Ornate Corners
2 x Delicate Fronds
2 x Pierced Tags

The ornate corners, one of the pieced tags and a selection of the delicate daisies were popped into my ink misting box and misted all in one go with the Chic Moss Ink Mister.

The flowers were shaped and stuck together with my trusty Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue and finished off in the centre with a good blob (very technical lol) of the Chic Moss Pearl PVA Glue.

I then stamped my 'Birthday Wishes' from my Scribbled Frame Stamps (these are a fabulous smaller size to my other sentiments so work perfectly on these tags)

Last but not least, I assembled it all together as you see in the photo and finished with the double row white pearls around the open edges.

Here's a bigger photo :-)

Don't forget my very first shows on Hochanda are:-

Tuesday 15th September at 8pm
Wednesday 16th September at 9am, 10am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm

I hope you will join me!!
Remember, if you don't have Sky or Freeview/Freesat you can watch in High Definition on their website

Happy Crafting!

Just For You - Featuring Decadent Damask Border Stamps and Graceful Mint Texture Paste

Good Morning Everyone

Today's Card is an 8 x 8

Products Used:- (which are also links to Phill's Website too) :-)

8 x 8 White Card Blank
Black Card Stock
Decadent Damask Sentiment Border Stamps
Sparkle Texture Paste Graceful Mint
Creative Expressions Triple Scallop Mask
Sue Wilson Daisy Die Complete Petals
Sue Wilson Daisy Die Open Petals
Sue Wilson Finishing Touches Curled Vines
Twinkles
Distress Inks

Normally I would start a card and work from the base upwards, but today's card I started with the centre feature which is the Texture Paste as this takes a while to dry ( I like to leave mine overnight).

So starting with a 6 x 6 blank piece of white card I lined up the mask and taped it down, then spread the Texture Paste even;y over the mask, once this is done remove the tape and carefully peel off the mask taking care not to disturb the texture paste. (put this somewhere safe to dry)
While waiting for this to dry I cut a piece of black card to 7.75 x 7.75 and attached it to the 8 x 8 card blank.

Next I cut a piece of white card to 7.5 x 7.5 then using the Decadent Damask Sentiment Border Stamp and Black Soot Distress Ink I stamped the Sentiment around the edges and attached this flat to the car

I then cut a piece of black card to 5.5 x 5.5 and attached this to the card using pads to give dimension.

Once I was happy that the Texture Paste was completely dry, I trimmed it down to 5,25 x 5,25 and attached to the centre of the card.

Using off cuts of card I cut and shaped the flowers and curled vines and attached them to the card.
On each of the white petals I added Mint Twinkles to the edges and finished off with a Dazzler to the centres.

                                                              Happy Crafting

White & Burgundy Card Featuring Sentimentally Yours Christmas Holly Range

Good Morning Everyone,

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my previous posting. I would also like to thank everyone who took the time to come and say 'Hello' at Doncaster at the weekend, it was lovely to meet you all.

Today's card is an 8 x 8

Products used: (which are linked to items on Phill's Website too) :-)

Plain White Card Stock
Burgundy Card Stock
Double Sided  Self Adhesive
Clear Glass Micro Beads
Spellbinder Die
Christmas Holly Collection Verses
Christmas Holly Stamps
Burgundy Seam Binding
Creative Expressions Self Adhesive Pearls
Creative Expressions Pins

Starting with an 8 x 8 White Card Blank

Layer 1 Burgundy Card
cut to 7.5 x 7.5

Layer 2 White Card cut to 7 x 7

Layer 3 Burgundy Card cut to 6.75 x 6.75

Layer 4 White Card cut to 6.5 x 6.5

Double Sided Adhesive cut to 6.5 x 6.5 I then glued layers 1-3 onto the White Card.

Next using layer 4 and Stamps from Sentimentally Yours
New Christmas Holly Collection, I chose Aged Mahogany
Distress Ink to create the background.

Taking the piece of Double Sided Adhesive I peeled back the top corners to line up with layer 4 and carefully removed the backing sheet.

I then removed  the top sheet to reveal the adhesive and added the Micro Beads. To do this I find it easier to place project into a shallow box or tin before adding beads,
then surplus beads can be poured back into the jar.

I chose a Spellbinder Die and cut the bottom layer in burgundy and the top in white before adding one of the lovely Sentiments from the New Christmas Holly Collection.

I stamped this with Aged Mahogany to match the background.

I added these to the card using pads.

Next I added the Self Adhesive Pearl Strips around the edge.

Finally I added a triple bow (upside down lol) and stick pins.

                                                             Happy Crafting .......

A little bit 'Decadent' :-)

Good Afternoon Everyone

Well, I've just spent a hectic 3 days at the NEC for our trade show, with the rest of the Creative Expressions team,.. launching all our brand new products (exciting times!), it's so nice to get to spend time with everyone as usually it's a phone call, text or an email!
And, of course, we are never at Create & Craft at the same time so no chance to catch up in the green room...

It's also been lovely meeting and chatting with all the craft shop owners who stock my products.

Here we all are :-)

So, with all the 'newness' in mind,.. I wanted to tell you about my next shows on Create & Craft, which are next Tuesday, 24th February at 10am and 3pm, where I will be launching my new range of Cosmic Shimmer products, in 6 brand new colours, which I have called 'Decadent', with more products added to the line up,.. one of which is our brand new blending ink, called colour cloud, and (as you'd expect from me), it will be available in my 6 new colours,.. I absolutely love this product and I can't wait to show you!!!

There will also be 9 brand new Decadent Damask sets of stamps, a brand new co-ordinating 8x8 paper pad and a brand new addition to the paper pad range (can't wait to show you this too!)

I don't want to say too much as it will spoil the excitement for showing you on TV next week, but I will tell you the new colours, which are:

Decadent Teal
Decadent Oak
Decadent Grape
Decadent Wine
Decadent Denim
Decadent Bamboo

These new colours are very different from the Graceful Collection and I love them!!

Hope you like it..

See you on C & C next Tuesday,..

Time for a cuppa anyone?

Good Afternoon Everyone,..

Now I'm on a Blog Roll (so to speak), I thought I'd share one last sneaky peek of one of my card samples for my shows on Create & Craft tomorrow :-)

If you know me, you will know that this is the perfect card for me,.. there are tea bags, tea cups and more on here!

This is one of my brand new stamp sets, aptly named 'Time For A Cuppa' and it's a montage set,.. I adore the montage sets because there is so much you can do with them!
Of course, I 'had' to create a background stamp to go with this set too, so I could get my fave tea brand on it :-) lol

I know,.. I know.... I'm a terrible Blogger!, But......

Good Afternoon Everyone

I know,... I've been a terrible Blogger of late,... rest assured, my mate, Julia Watts, reprimanded me severely at Ally Pally last weekend :-)

In my defense, I have been rather busy with designing new stamps,.. and more!

I also have been working hard with Creative Expressions to bring you my own range of co-ordinating Cosmic Shimmer products to go with my Vintage Christmas Paper Pad,..

In early October, you will be able to get Ink Misters, Pearl PVA Glues, Polished Silk Glitters, Gilding Wax, Mica Powders, Twinkles (sparkly glue!) all in perfectly co-ordinating colours,..

Creative Expressions and I have worked so hard to get the colours perfect!, you know I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to matching colours and I wanted the same for all of you too, so you don't have to 'make do' and spend hours searching for products to go with everything!

These new products will (hopefully!) be launching on my 11th October shows on Create & Craft and, yes, I'm a tad excited! lol

Anyhoo, because I've been a naughty Blogger, I'm going to give you a sneaky peek photo of one of my card samples for my shows on Create and Craft next Tuesday, 30th September 8am and 3pm

This is a big card! 21cm x 15.5cm

Christmas Show Card Samples - One day at a time - Day 5!

Good Morning Everyone

It's a bit of a breezy day here in Nottingham!, but the sun is shining so it's ok :-)

I've got lot's to do between today and tomorrow!

I'm back on Create & Craft on Tuesday at 8am and 2pm, with 'Best Sellers' shows,.. this is a great way for me to bring back some of the stamps we've had on previously, that sold out so quickly I didn't get chance to demo them properly!
It's also a great opportunity for you to grab them whilst they are back :-)

It's also the Great British Craft Festival at Stoneleigh Park in Warwick next weekend, so I'm restocking and making sure I have lot's of lovely stamps and my new Vintage Christmas Paper Pad ready for you!
If last years event is anything to go by, this year will be even better!

I'm on stand A2 'Sentimentally Yours Stamps by Phill Martin' and I will have my sister (Karen) and my friends Lorraine and Tanya helping me out,.. my Auntie Sue will also be helping me on the Sunday so I'm really looking forward to a busy weekend!

Anyway,.. we are on day 5 (already!) of my Christmas Show Card Samples - One day at a time posts,.. I hope you're not bored with them and you are getting some ideas on how to use my new Christmas stamps and papers :-)

So, here is card no.5, a lovely 8x8 card in beautiful deep red tones..

As always, I've popped a list of what I used with links to them on my www if you 'need' to purchase them :-)

8x8 Vintage Christmas Premium Paper Pad
Christmas Sentiments Stamps
Marvellous Squares Dies
Layered Poinsettia Dies
Stardust Stickles
Red Dazzlers
Aged Mahogany Distress Ink Pad
A4 Quilted Flower Embossing Folder

One of the things I love most about my new Vintage Christmas Paper Pad is that it works so well with the distress inks (anybody would think I planned that!) lol

Aged Mahogany and Festive Berries Distress Ink Pads are perfect for the red toned papers!

I hope you like this card,.. It's one of my faves, the detail of the Quilted Flower Embossing Folder really stands out 'in real life'.

Anyhoo, off to get some work done!

Happy Crafting!
