Another New Scrapbook Page ...

Evening All

As promised, here is another scrapbook page created in Craft Artist Pro for you....

This time, I have gone for a completely different colour scheme and 'feel' of the page... and this is an A4 page :o)

The photo was from a visit To Skye (loved it) and yes, it was bliddy freezing!

I have used the Rustic Charm Digikit which I believe is still available on Daisytrail.... well worth getting this one, the colours are beautiful!

Remember, if you want to add me as a friend on Daisytrail, just search on there for me.. phillmmartin

Anyhoo
Here it is... hope you like it :o)

New Scrapbook Page...

Afternoon Everyone

Just thought I'd pop a photo on here for you of another Scrapbook page I made using Serif Craft Artist Pro.
Hopefully, if I keep adding pages now and again, it will give you some ideas for layouts and colour themes etc..

Anyhoo, this one was created using the Sahlin Studios 'Life's a Beach' Digikit...
I've used various tools to create this page, stencil, shadow, transparency, recolour, photolab, scissors, brush tool for the faux stitching and so on...

The faded photo behind us is one we took on Waikiki beach :-)

Hope you like it :-)

New Papers... :o)

Hi Everyone (again)

Two posts in one day means I am catching up! lol

Anyhoo.... In between my crazy, busy week, I have managed to finish my latest set of background papers... :o)

I have called these my 'Best of British and Cracked Co-Ordinates' set.

This year is going to be a patriotic one... the Olympics, The Queens Jubilee so, do we need background papers for all our patriotic cards and scrapbook projects... course we do! And I have them here for you :o)

As always, all my background papers come in sets of 2, one patterned an one co-ordinating plainer one so that they work well together..
I have taken the British Flag and given it a revamp! Who knew that it  would look just as stunning in shades of red?! Well, I think it does lol
So, with that in mind, I have revamped it into 17 lush colours that will work in just about any project we can do with, of course the cracked co-ordinates to go with them :o)

As always, I like to give you a couple of freebie sheets, to get your creative juices flowing, and here they are :o)

You can buy the full set of 17 colours (and I have included a free traditional flag too) by clicking here .. Best of British and Cracked Co-Ordinates for only £4, remember you can use these whenever, however and as often as you like as they are files you can save on your computer :o)

I will point out too, that although I have developed these papers into A4, you can change the size in your printer settings suit whatever project you are doing at the time ie: A5, 5x5, 8x8 etc

Diary of my week.... so far!

Good Morning Everyone!

Well, now I have had time to catch my breath from what has been an incredibly busy week, I will let you know what I've been up to!

As you know, I had my Craftathon at the shop last Sunday, what a fabulous day we had!
What could be better.... crafting all day with great company, great projects and lots of tea and cake!

I then had the brilliant Serif 4 day deal on Create and Craft, Monday to Thursday... and did an hour on Paperclinic and an hour on Spellbinder in between... I think I was on air for 12 hours in 4 days!

So now I am catching up on all the jobs I should have done last week and then I am going into the shop later today... I've forgotten what it looks like!

In between all this, I have finished some new background papers too!
I'll blog about these in another post shortly :o)

And I am back on your Create and Craft Screens next week for a few more hours!

Monday 5th - Paperclinic 11-1pm (really looking forward to this!)
Monday 5th - Serif Digikit Bundle 4-5p (More fabulous digi kits!)

Friday 9th - 8-9am (Serif Digi Kits again)
Friday 9th - 11-12noon (Serif Digi Kits again)

Anyhoo

That's how my week has been... crazy!, but I love it :o)

Scrapbook Page :o)

Good Evening All

I was just going through my computer (as you do) and found this scrapbook page that I made using my Craft Artist Pro and thought I'd share it with you...

I made it in the A4 size option, which I love as they are a little bit different to the traditional 8x8 and 12x12 ones we get so easily.

This page was created using a photo from when my friends and I went to Ascot last year... I think I showed it on Create and Craft when I did a Serif show recently....

The Digikit I used was one of the American Crafts ones (The Classics) as I thought it suited the occasion!
Although I did bring lots of elements in from other kits too lol

The leaves were created using the stencil feature.

Anyhoo, let me know what you think :o)
Click the image to open a  larger age in a new window :o)

Create & Craft Shows...

Good Morning Everyone...

Just a quick message (before I forget to tell you) that I am back on Create and Craft this weekend...

I have some more Serif shows! :o) and I don't need to tell you how much I love the Craft Artist Pro and all the fabulous digikits that Serif bring for us to work with because I am always singing it's praises!
Absolutely, by a mile my favourite software for us crafters!

And, I can now also tell you that (after Ann-Marie and I texting and chatting for weeks!) that I will also be doing some Hunkydory shows!
I am soooo excited about this too! You all know I am a perfectionist in my work and that starts with superb quality products to work with in the first place... Hunkydory give us that... Superb quality, superb value for money and superb ideas!
I couldn't do all the shows as I have other commitments too, but I am doing a few ;o)
I'm sure too, that you will be seeing more of me and Hunkydory ;o)

Anyyhoo - It's far too early for me to be rattling on so here are the dates and times (so far!)

Sunday 19th Feb - Serif - 10am and 7pm
Monday 20th Feb - Serif - 9am, 2pm
and 5-7pm on Ideal World for Craft o'clock

Friday 24th Feb - Hunkydory - 8am and 9am

I also have my February Craftathon at the shop on Sunday 26th so it looks like I am going to be a busy bee next week!

That's it for now, but I will let you know as soon as I know what I am doing lol

Happy Crafting!

My New Papers....

Good Evening Everyone!

Well, I finally managed to calm myself down after the excitement of booking my Madonna concert ticket for Edinburgh in July this year
(I know.... excited isn't the word!) lol

So, courtesy of a few cups of Sunshine Grey tea, I have now finished off my new sets of background papers...

Can you believe this is my 6th set of two! Where does time go!?

Anyhoo, this new collection is my Butterfly Whispers and Tarnished Polkas collection... I have worked so hard on getting the butterfly whispers set just right so I hope you love it as much as I do! The tarnished polkas have been designed to compliment the butterfly whispers papers perfectly so you can use them together if you wish...

As with all my previous sets of papers, they should all work together as they are the same colour palette :o)

As usual, here are a couple of freebie sheets for you to play with and, naturally, you will need the full set which you can get for a teeny £4 by clicking here

Now then, something different for you... a little job if you like...

I want to see what you have done with your freebie papers of mine and, as a little incentive, I will give away 5 CD's containing 5 full sets of my background papers!! (10 different designs, in full sets)
I'll even sign the CD for you ;o)

All I need you to do, is email me a photograph of your card/scrapbook page/project at enquiries@honeypotcrafts.co.uk but remember to include your name, address and tell me what you particularly liked about the papers you used. (colour, style... whatever)

You have until 12noon on Friday 17th Feb to email me, any emails I get after that won't be included.

I will ask Carol to choose the 5 she likes best and I will let the winners know on the Friday evening :o)

Good Luck!

Ok, here's your two freebie sheets of the new papers and the older ones can be found by scrolling down the blog :o)

Love my Gorjuss Girls Stamps!

Good Evening Everyone

Well, I've just got home from my Thursday evening class and wanted to share with you what we did...

You all know I love my Magnolia Tilda and Edwin stamps, but I also (in case you haven't already noticed!) love The Gorjuss Girls stamps too... what fun we can have colouring them in!

I love how they have masses of hair to colour in and that's usually where I spend the most time (and use the most pro marker pens to blend and shade!)

Anyhoo, I just wanted to show you how versatile these stamps are., how they can look just as stunning in different colour ways so here's a few pictures of the two colour ways I have done tonight...

I have used my own design for the backing papers, it's my Bubble Hearts collection and, of course, you can go on the website and purchase the full set by clicking here.... Bubble Hearts Background Papers

What do you think?

Soooo, tonight I have been finishing off....

Good Evening All

It's still so cold, with no end in sight so I am bringing you some more crafty warmth, but this time, I need your help...

I've been working on these new papers for a while and need to know what you think... It's been a pain trying to get the balance between foreground, background, shading and text just right....

Do you think I have it right now?

Here's a lil freebie sheet for you to have a play with.. but please let me know what you think... honestly, no being nice to spare my feelings
(well, maybe just a little nice) lol
