Pro Marker Tutorial Workshop - No.3!

Good Evening Everyone

Well, I've finally managed to find a date for my next Pro Marker Tutorial Workshop!

Everyone has been asking me for soooo long, but I just haven't been able to squeeze it in so I have checked my diary and here are the details (sorry it's a fair few weeks away, but I've got so much going on, as usual lol)

Pro Marker Tutorial Workshop

Sunday 19th May 2013

11am - 1pm

The cost is £15pp

This workshop will be held in my shop and we will be focusing on Skin Types, Hair, Clothing, Teddies and (if we get time) I will show you how to create sky and water effects... 

all with fave Pro Markers!

I am limiting this workshop to a maximum of 15 people to ensure it's not a madhouse! lol

I already have 9 people booked, before I even posted my date so if you are interested, please let me know asap, either on here or email me at admin@honeypotcrafts.co.uk

I will require a deposit of half to secure your space.

A5 Fancy Note Card Box

Good Afternoon Everyone

I hope you are having a great Easter weekend :o)

I thought I'd pop a couple of photos on of a project we made at our March Craftathon at my shop yesterday ... I love this project so much, I made another one in a different colour scheme! :o)

This is a fabulous idea (I cannot take credit for the idea as I saw it on another blog months ago, I can't remember whose though, i t was months ago), but I have added my own style to it :o)

This is a fancy A5 sized box, with a box inside that houses note cards and envelopes... I love it and can see me making lots of variations of this when I get half an hour free :o)

But, for now, I will show you the blue one and the pink one that I have done so far...

Playing with Distress Ink Pads...

Good Morning Everyone!

Welcome to March and (hopefully) better, warmer, sunnier weather and the promise of Spring... 

I posted a couple of photos of cards I have made on Facebook and Twitter last night and have had so many people email me to ask which colours I used and which stamps, it's easier for me to tell you all in one go on here than spend half a day replying lol

So, here we go!

Most of you know me well enough by now to know that I love my distress ink pads for edging, but I also love using them for creating backgrounds and watercolouring stamped in with..

Such a versatile product and one of my 'must haves'!

The stamps I used are IndigoBlu - Wild Meadow

Here's Version 1

The colours I have used were:

Tea Dye

Spiced Marmalade

Wild Honey

Rusty Hinge

Ripe Persimmon

Here's Version 2

The colours I have used were:

Tumbled Glass

Weathered Wood

Faded Jeans

Dusty Concord

Chipped Sapphire

And, for a completely different 'use', here's Tilda watercoloured with distress inks :o)

DL Tag Card Workshop

Good Afternoon Everyone!

It's a bit breezy here in Nottingham today, but I'm not complaining.... at least the snow has gone and 'normal' life has resumed!

OK, I have had quite a few requests from people asking me to put photos on my Facebook and Twitter of the cards we have made at my classes...

It's actually easier for me to pop them on my blog (and quicker) so here you go... 

This is our project from this week...

This is a DL Tag card in Cream & Black, using one of the fabulous Saturated Canary images..

Most of you know by now that I adore my Pro Markers, I very rarely make a card where I haven't coloured in and distressed something! And if you look closely, you will see that (as you'd expect) my edges are inked! :o)

I also love my punches and use them all the time... the little butterflies, the heart, the tags and the flowers have all been made using my punches....

Flip Album Page 3 :-)

Good Evening Everyone

Our Journey into my Flip Album continues with this page from our Christmas in New York a few years ago.

We loved New York and took so many photos that there will have to be more than one page for it!

Needless to say, this was the winter we had all the really bad snow and New York got it too, as my next page (page 4) will show you!

I hope you like this page, I really enjoyed creating this one, love the colours, the patterned papers and the fact that, for once, I have only used 3 photos!

My flip album project progress :-)

Good Afternoon Everyone

If you have been following me on Facebook or Twitter, you'll know I've been making a Flip album using one of my Graphic45 12x12 albums.

The plan is (ha ha) to create a lovely album of different pages from our holidays and weekends away, that I can leave in our dining room and just 'flip' the pages to a different one when I feel like it :-)

Of course, this is all being created in my 'spare' time, so it could take a while to finish! But that's part of the fun of it... Something I can look forward to when I do get a spare few hours :-)

Now, thinking about this logically (which is so unlike me!) I have to keep the pages relatively flat so they aren't too bulky when they flip over, so I've made good use of my silhouette machine :-)

I've now finished two pages and thought I'd take you on this project 'journey' with me... I hope you like them :-)

Craft Clinic on Create & Craft

Good Evening Everyone

Just a quick message to let you know that I am back on Create & Craft next Monday 21st January for a 2 hour Craft Clinic :-)

Really looking forward to this show, there will be embossing, water colouring with distress inks, enamelling, embossing with utee, mica flakes, punching to create some beautiful flower embellishments and more (if we have time!)

There's a few of my favourite techniques in there so it's sure to be fun, informative (I hope!) and I'll be sharing some of my hints and tips throughout :-)

Kraft Florals & Butterflies

Good Evening Everyone

You asked for them.... you got them! :-)

Following the huge success that was my First Kraft Collection of Digital Papers (Kraft Kisses) and the feedback from everyone that you wanted more.... here they are!

Kraft Flowers & Butterflies

I adore working with Kraft cardstock and papers so it was only a matter of time before I designed my own :-)

This is a collection of 10 designs, some butterflies and some florals... 

Of course, this collection will also work perfectly with the Kraft Kisses collection :-)

Kraft is a natural, neutral colour which is probably why I like using it... it's so versatile! 

So, I have created the same 10 designs in 5 finishes! White, Black, Beige, Grey and Brown.... all of them are (in my opinion) beautiful so good luck choosing which to use first! lol

I have also included a free, bonus design in the same 5 colours, but you will need to treat yourself to the collection to see it ;-)

That's a whopping 55 sheets in total!

The whole collection is available for only £5 from my online store..

These are high resolution, 300dpi pdf files and I have tested every sheet and they print beautifully onto cardstock or paper!

Good Evening Everyone

I hope you are all ok and keeping well :-)

Just wanted to let you know that I will be bringing you a brand new Serif 4 day deal next week!
