Sneaky Peek! Butterfly Elegance - Blue Dusk & Coconut White

Hello Crafters

It's getting closer to the launch of y Butterfly Elegance Collection next Monday so I really wanted to share this card with you... a little 'teaser' if you will ha ha

I was in our Nottingham shop earlier today, telling the class that I have thoroughly enjoyed working with these stamps,.. I have genuinely enjoyed designing these cards and putting all the bits together to create them :-)

Anyhoo, this card, I think, is one of my favourites,... so far!

It's really, really pretty and elegant and I will make sure I show this one on as many of my shows as I can! :-)

I have used (for the first time) Blue Dusk Foundations card and it is absolutely gorgeous!!!!
It is now in my top 3 colours and you will see me using it all the time now ha ha
Perfect with True White Detail Embossing Powder :-)

ps - If you go to my www to get this card, please don't take any notice of the colour it shows,.. it's nothing like it! That's the problem with computer generated images,.. not a true likeness!

As seems to be the 'norm' for me, this card did take a few hours to create, but so worth it,.. (I think so lol)

I will most definitely be demo'ing this card on one of my shows.

Snowflakes, With Love At Christmas - Giveaway Card

Hello Crafters

I'm a few days late with this - oops!

I got so carried away making samples with my new Butterfly Elegance stamps that I completely lost track of time!
(as you do in your craft room,.. I can't be the only one,.. surely ha ha)

This is one of the cards I made as a demo on my Hochanda shows,.. making use of my beautiful Christmas Snowflakes paper pad (I think it's my fave!)

As you would expect, the designs in the papers match my Snowflake stamps perfectly,.. it's kind of become my 'thing', .. having all these products that work together without the stress of trying to find them :-)

The Snowflake sentiment corner stamps work great with the square frame,.. effectively creating a larger frame,.. this layout is perfect for any square card of any size too,.. this is an 8x8 card, but it would be great as a 5x5 or 6x6 too :-)

Butterfly Elegance - Coconut White & Lilac - Sneaky Peek!

Hello Crafters

As promised, here is sneaky peek number 2.

This is the second sample I made and, I have to be honest, it took me over 2 hours to make!
What with deciding on dies, then actually cutting them (there's a fair few!), then deciding on the colour theme and what not,.. you know the drill ha ha

I have to say, too, that I love the end result, I wish you could all see it in 'real life' as the photos just don't do it justice...

You'll probably notice that the oval frame (featuring the new stitched effect as the other frames in this collection), has the double pierced oval die as a matt, but, had I actually cut the stamp out using the dies, the piercing would be on the outside of my stamp,.. this was such a big thing for me to get right too as I didn't want the piercing of the die to spoil the stitching of my stamp (Creative Expressions love my 'particularness' (new word!) ha ha

This is quite a big card (23cm x 17cm) and there are so many layers it weighs a tonne, so, if you replicate this (happy for you to do so!), just miss out a layer or two (or stick them flat instead of using foam tape (as I do)

Butterfly Elegance NEW Collection - Sneaky Peek

Hello Crafters

It's the launch of my new Butterfly Elegance Collection of stamps on Hochanda next Monday, 8th of August, at 8pm!

I know we say it all the time, but I absolutely love these stamps!!

It's the first time I have done a complete collection of sentiments, verses and extras featuring butterflies,... I held out as long as I could, but it had to happen and what better time to release them than after my Snowflakes collection! ha ha

The now 'essential' frames to this collection have a really delicate stitching effect and gorgeous flourishes with tiny butterflies around them.

You'll notice the introduction of a brand new set of curved sentiments too and I think they are a great addition to my range and something quite unique, with the detail of the butterflies :-)

So, I'm going to give you a sneaky peek a day up until the launch,..

I really think this is going to be one of those 'go to' collections when you need to make a pretty, feminine card,.. butterflies are classic in our world and team that with my 'style' of stamps and it's stress free (I hope!) crafting with panache!

Beautiful Blossom - Milk & Gold

Hello Crafters

It's a gorgeous Saturday so I thought I'd show you a gorgeous variation on the Snowflakes Card I made on TV the other day,..

If I'm honest, I actually made this one first, then thought it would be fab as a Christmas card too :-)

This is one of the advantages of having the frame stamps, from any of my stamp collections,.. they are soooo useful and so many ways to use them!

This card was made using my Blossom Collection and using just Milk cardstock and gold detail embossing powder... simple, yet really rather nice together :-)

Can I just tell you, before I forget,

I will be doing a demo day at Chloe's Creative Cards on August 14th (day before my birthday!)

Chloe is my mate so I am really looking forward to checking out how tidy her work space is in there (ha ha)

Workshops - Great Create Extravaganza - August 26th & 27th

Hello Crafters

As you may or may not know, I take my Sentimentally Yours brand of crafty loveliness to most of the major craft shows around the country (time and dates willing!)

Well, this year, at the Great Create Extravaganza in Harrogate on August 26th & 27th, as well as having my BIG stand full of your favourite craft goodies, I will be doing my first ever workshops there!

I'm so excited!

I don't usually do workshops at shows as I like to have time to demo and chat with all of you that make the effort to come to the shows, but, I was able to choose the breakfast workshops, which means I can do the workshops and still be on my stand ready for when the show officially opens!

whoo hoo!

OK, now the important bits,..

Workshop Times: 8:45am - 9:45am (both days)
Workshop Cost: £15 (you pay £3 via Craftwork Cards www (see link) to secure your space, then £12 to us on the day
What You Need To Bring: Nothing! We will provide everything you need :-)
What You Will Be Making: An 8x8 Card using my latest stamps, cosmic shimmer products, dies and more! There will be my own samples there to give you guidance too.
Do You Need To Be Experienced: Nope! My sister and I will be there to help and show you the tips and techniques!
What Else Do You Get: Well, me as your tutor for the hour (ha ha) and we will also give you a special 10% off voucher to use on my stand!
Do You Get Anything Else: Yes! You get early entry to the show (no queuing!)
