Beautiful Blossom - Milk & Gold

Hello Crafters

It's a gorgeous Saturday so I thought I'd show you a gorgeous variation on the Snowflakes Card I made on TV the other day,..

If I'm honest, I actually made this one first, then thought it would be fab as a Christmas card too :-)

This is one of the advantages of having the frame stamps, from any of my stamp collections,.. they are soooo useful and so many ways to use them!

This card was made using my Blossom Collection and using just Milk cardstock and gold detail embossing powder... simple, yet really rather nice together :-)

Can I just tell you, before I forget,

I will be doing a demo day at Chloe's Creative Cards on August 14th (day before my birthday!)

Chloe is my mate so I am really looking forward to checking out how tidy her work space is in there (ha ha)

If you are in or can get to Durham, here is the address:
Unit 42 Dragonville Industrial Park, Dragon Lane, Durham, DH1 2XU

It's funny isn't it,.. to think this card started as just plain Milk cardstock and gold embossing powder,...
I think this is why I love crafting,.. blank canvas every time :-)

Here is what I used (with links to them on my www in case you 'need' them)
Milk Foundations Cardstock
Sentimentally Yours Blossom Large Circle Frame Stamp
Sentimentally Yours Blossom Sentiment Banners Stamps
Delicate Daisies - Complete Petals - Dies by Sue Wilson

Swirling Hearts Embossing Folder by Sue Wilson
Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Detail Embossing Powder
Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels - Iced Snow
(As always, I only use Cosmic Shimmer dries clear PVA gluePerfect Medium pad and an anti static bag)

Anyhoo,.. here is the card :-)

Giveaway Card - Blossom Frames in Black & Cream

Hello Crafters,

It's time for a new giveaway card for you all :-)

As you probably know by now, I don't just design random stamps, I design collections, which, for me anyway, makes complete sense, I mean, who wouldn't want sentiments, frames, backgrounds and verses (and paper pads!) that co-ordinate?...

The most difficult thing I have come across (before I had my own products) was finding co-ordinating stamps... I find it so much easier to grab my box of 'Blossom Stamps' and know that they will all, effortlessly, work with each other... it also makes our lives, as crafters, easier and I'm pretty sure the people we send cards to (although I am a self confessed rubbish card sender!) notice that everything matches and looks 'polished' (I hate the term 'professional', we are all crafters, just that some of us have been doing it longer) :-)

With this in mind, here is a cracking example of how my Blossom collection works,..

I adore black and cream cards and always feel they look classy, whatever the subject...

This is an 8x8 card that makes great use of the two different sizes of square frame stamps, along with the corner sentiments...

Here is what I used (with links to the products on my www in case you 'need' to treat yourself)
Black Foundation Card
Milk Foundation Card
Sentimentally Yours Blossom Large Square Frame stamp
Sentimentally Yours Blossom Small Square Frame stamp
Sentimentally Yours Blossom Corner Sentiments stamps
Sentimentally Yours Blossom Background stamp (stamped onto the camellia flowers)
Double Pierced Square dies by Sue Wilson
Camellia Complete Petal dies by Sue Wilson
Curled Vines dies by Sue Wilson
Black Soot Distress Ink Pad
Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels - Iced Snow
Star Swirls Embossing Folder by Sue Wilson

To be in with a chance of winning this card, simply leave a comment (lovely one, of course) and I will choose a random name next Wednesday (27th)
You must be a follower of my blog (I'll check) and I will let the winner know on a new post on Wednesday :-)

Brilliant Sparkle - Special Couple

Hello Crafters

It's another gorgeous start to the day here in Nottingham, but with a lovely breeze too, which makes it so much more comfortable!

I know I've mentioned my Precious Metals Collection of Cosmic Shimmer products before, but I don't know if you know that most of the Cosmic Shimmer products with the same type of colour will co-ordinate too (not an exact match as my products, but they will work well together)

This is what I 'tested' when I made this card, I used Cosmic Shimmers' new Brilliant Sparkle Embossing Powder in Copper with my Precious Metals Copper Sparkle Texture Paste and PVA Glue... and I was pleasantly surprised :-)

I've never been a fan of glittery embossing powders in the past as I always found them a little too 'chunky' when used with my stamps, as they are too detailed, so gave up,.. until now!

These Brilliant Sparkle ones from Cosmic Shimmer are so fine, almost powder like, you wouldn't think they would be glittery, but they are :-)

On this card, I used a couple of my dies from my 'More Relatives' set from my 'From The Heart Collection' and embossed them with the Brilliant Sparkle Copper Embossing Powder,.. amazing! Love the finish and such a fab way to make your dies 'do more' for you :-)

It's the same technique as double embossing with detail embossing powder, only you only need to do it once with the brilliant sparkle powders,.. (push the die, face down, into your perfect medium pad, then sprinkle your embossing powder on and heat up... simple)

Coupled with my Copper Sparkle Texture Paste in the background, it's a fabulous colour match!

Here's what I used (as always, with links to the products on my www should you 'need' to treat yourself)
Peach Foundations Card (works great with copper tones)
Sentimentally Yours 'More Relatives' die set
Precious Metals Copper Sparkle Texture Paste by Phill Martin
Precious Metals Copper Pearl PVA Glue by Phill Martin

Tied Together Large Embossing Folder (sold out)
Grace dies by Sue Wilson
Orange Blossom Flowers Complete Petals dies by Sue Wilson
Beaded Swirl Flourish die by Sue Wilson
Self Adhesive Pearl Strips

(As always, I only use Cosmic Shimmer dries clear PVA glue, Perfect Medium pad and an anti static bag)

I hope you like today's offering, if you haven't used my Sparkle Texture Paste, try it, as you know, I don't do messy crafting, so you know it's not too messy and teh results are fab!

Brunswick Green - From Our Home To Yours

Hello Crafters

Today's post is a little later than usual as
a) I deleted the post after typing it all last night!
and
b) I've been at our Sheffield store today, doing one of my workshops (great day!!)

So, I wanted to show you this card, it was one of my demos on HOCHANDA, but a most unusual colour scheme for me and, I have to say, I absolutely love it!

I'm not a fan of greens, in the main (unless it's my Decadent Bamboo, Frosty Jade or Chic Moss!), so working with a darker green takes me a little out of my comfort zone,..but, I have to say, this Brunswick Green looks gorgeous with the soft tones of the Milk Foundation Card, even the snowflakes!

The gold embossing detail adds a little touch of luxury to this card, especially as I used my new snowflakes stamps and the whole colour scheme looks really rather classy (in my humble opinion ha ha)(I hope you agree!)

One of my absolute 'must have' sets of stamps, from any of my collections now, are the sentiment borders,.. I simply can't not have them now,.. So versatile, create beautiful banners, stamp around the card to create a frame, mask off and use certain parts,.. love them!
On this card, I created a banner (one of my fave ways to use them)

So, here's what I used (as always, with links to the products on my www should you 'need' to treat yourself)
Brunswick Green Foundations Card
Milk Foundations Card
Snowflakes Dies by Sue Wilson
Double Pierced Oval Dies by Sue Wilson
Sentimentally Yours Snowflakes Sentiment Borders Stamps

Close Up Of The Detail

Anyhoo, just to answer a question I've been asked a few times, yes, I am absolutely happy for you to replicate any of my card designs,.. go for it! I'm flattered :-)

Hope you like today's project!

Happy Crafting!
