Next using Cream Card stock and the Corner Dies, I cut four of these out and attached flat to the card front.

Using the 3 largest of the Frame Dies I cut these out in alternate colours of Cream & Burgundy, and attached all three to the card using pads to give dimension.

Sentiment

Using the New  From The Heart Collection Dies I chose 'Niece' from the the Female Relatives and cut this out using burgundy card stock, then attached flat to the card.

Using the Peony Dies I cut several flowers out and shaped these before attaching t the card, I then cut out the Laurel Leaves and added to card.

Finishing Touches

Blue & White - Featuring the Retirement Verse Collection Stamps

Good Morning Everyone,

Once again a very big thank you to all of you who have taken the time to comment and message me on my previous blog.

Last Monday I posted a card on the blog and was asked to make a 'Retirement' card based on the same design.

Today I would like to share my creation with you, to show how different variations can be created using the same products but with a few changes.

All the products used to create this card are available on Phill's website:-

www.honeypotcrafts.co.uk

This is what I did:-

The measurements for this  are exactly the same as the one I posted on Monday.

Sentiment

Using the 2 largest dies from the Austrian Innsbruck dies I cut this out using White Card and backed it with Blue Card.

I chose a Verse from the Retirement Verse Collection Stamps and heat embossed using Silver Embossing Powder.

I then attached this to the card using pads to give dimension.

Flowers
The flowers are the same as previous blog

Finishing Touches

I added a butterfly to this card (instead of the dragonfly) which I cut out using Blue Card Stock, I then used Glossy Accent on the wings and edged them with glamour dust.

Finally I added 2 hearts to the top corners again cutting them out in blue card and using glossy accents to give dimension.

I hope you like this card and can see what a difference a few alterations can make.

Happy Birthday To You - Showcasing The Brand New Dies - 'From The Heart' Collection

Good Morning Everyone,

A brighter day is forecast for Nottingham, I  hope the weatherman is right.

Thank you all so much for your very kind comments and messages on my previous post.

Today's card is one I made for The Trade Show at the N.E.C. I would like to share it with you so you can see how stunning  Phill's New Dies are.

Although this is an A4 card, it can be adapted for smaller cards.

All the products I used to create this card are available of Phill's Website:-

www.honeypotcraft.co.uk

This is what I used:-

Burgundy Card Stock
Cream Card Stock
Dies by Phill Martin - 'From The Heart' Collection
Sue Wilson Noble Dies - Ornate Pierced Rectangle
Sue Wilson Spanish Collection - Corner Border & Tag
Sue Wilson Rambling Blossom Embossing Folder
Spellbinder Flutters
Glossy Accents
Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue
Creative Expressions Pearl Strips
Glitter Jewels - Diamond Snow

This is how I created it:-

I started by making a 'card front'

layer 1.
Burgundy Card cut to 11.75 x 8.25

layer 2.
Cream Card cut to 11.5 x 8

layer 3.
Burgundy card cut to 11 x 7.75

I then layered these together flat.
Next I cut a piece of Cream Card 10.75 x 7.5 and Embossed it using the Rambling Blossom Embossing Folder, and attached flat.

Border Die:-

Using Burgundy Card I cut 2 border dies out and attached these flat lining them up with the smallest layer of burgundy card.

Sentiment

Using the largest of the rectangle dies I cut this out using Burgundy Card and then cut the patterned one out in cream and mounted it onto burgundy card before attaching both of these to the card using pads to give dimension.

I then cut out the 'Happy Birthday To You' in both Cream and Burgundy Card and glued them together (staggered) to give the 'shadow effect'
I then attached the sentiment to the card using pads.

Next I cut the butterfly out using a small scrap of burgundy card, and attached to the card.

Finishing Touches :-

I added pearl strips to the edges of the borders. Then on the outer edge of the sentiment die I added Diamond Snow Glitter Jewels.
The butterfly I edged the tip of the wings with diamond snow and glossy accents to centre of the wings.

Finally I added glossy accents to the Hearts of the Sentiment.
The card front is now ready to attach to an A4 card blank.

                                             Happy Crafting....

Follow Your Dreams - Showcasing The Mini Baroque Inspirational Stamps

Good Morning Everyone,

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my previous posting.
Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Today's card is quite a simple one that can be used for any occasion.

All products used to create this card can be found on Phill's Website:-

www.honeypotcrafts.co.uk

This is what I used:-

White Card Stock
Mini Baroque Inspirational Sentiment Stamps
Decadent Damask Paper Pad
Decadent Bamboo Colour Cloud Blending Ink
Decadent Bamboo Twinkles
Silver Embossing Powder
Glamour Dust
Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue
Creative Expressions Pearl Strips
Spellbinder Butterfly
Sue Wilson Dies -Noble  Classic Adorned Rectangles
Sue Wilson Perfect Peony Complete Petals

This is what I did:-

Using a sheet of Plain White Card Stock and the 2 largest dies, I cut the shape of the card out.

I then covered this using Decadent Bamboo Colour Cloud Blending Ink.

Next using the 2 smallest inner rectangle dies I cut these out applied colour cloud to the edge. I then backed this on to a piece of Decadent Damask Bamboo paper from the paper pad. (using the patterned side) and attached these to the card.

Sentiment

Using the Mini Baroque Inspirational Stamps I chose
'Follow Your Dreams' as this can be used for any occasion.

Using Silver Embossing Powder I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of plain white card cut to 3 x 2
This was then attached to the card using pads to give dimension.

Finishing Touches

Using the Perfect Peony Die I cut enough out to make up one complete flower, shaped this and added to the card.

I then cut out the butterfly and attached to the card leaving the wings free to be able to shape these (as in flight).

I then added glamour dust around the outer border, butterfly and petals, then added Bamboo Twinkles to the centre of the flower.

Finally I added pearls around the edge of the sentiment.

For those of you who know Phill you will know what he's like for attention to detail. Well I can say he has certainly excelled himself with the launch of his New Dies.

I absolutely loved creating the samples, and hope these will give you inspiration.

My NEW 'From The Heart' craft dies are released today!!

Good Morning Everyone,..

Oh my,.. I can't quite believe it, but, my new 'From The Heart' craft dies are released by Creative Expressions today!!

I've called this my 'From The Heart' Collection and these are sentiment dies (as you would probably have expected from me) and they are designed around our friends, families and the events/occasions that we come across in our lives,..

I've also designed co-ordinating relative sets too, so we are able to achieve a beautiful, seamless finish on our projects..

I'm now allowed to tell you (as they are released today) that there are 9 sets in the collection, 6 sets with full sentiments and 3 sets with relatives :-)

All featuring the same, beautiful font and the connecting heart theme, and all with extra heart dies to complete the look.

I will be adding more relatives and some numbers to co-ordinate soon :-)

And so, I have two more cards to show you, that I've made myself, still in the black and coconut white themes, but this time, I have purposely left all the extra embellishments off the card, no flowers (I know - shocking!), but, I wanted you to see how fabulous these dies are as stand alone sets,.. all I've used are the extra heart dies that come in the sets (and a border and corner of Sues)

Here is card no.1, this is a 17cm x 22cm card, featuring the Happy Birthday To You die and Grandma from the Grandparents set (I've made sure that they were not forgotten in my sets,.. they're too important and should be cherished!)

I love this card, quite simple for me, bit of embossing, bit of die cutting, few pearls (well, lot's!) but, as you've heard me say hundreds of times,.. look where your eyes are drawn,... to the sentiment..
Elegant...
Stylish...
Personal...

I've made good use of the scraps of black and coconut white card too by using the extra heart dies and creating dimension (putting them on a foam pad lol)

Close up of the sentiment and Grandma die cuts...

And here's card no.2,.. this is a 17cm x 17cm card, featuring the With Very Best Wishes' die and the Female relatives set..
The hearts around the outside of the frame are from black card and the extra heart dies and I've covered them in Glacier Ice Glitter Jewels :-)

Classic, straight lines and texture from the embossing folder make this stylish card really easy to create.
The focal points (now this will shock you ha ha) are the sentiment and daughter die cuts,.. Add these to some matting and layering and different levels on foam tape to create dimension and and you're onto a winner.

Close up of the centre of the card.
Coupled with a little glacier ice and some pearl strips/corners and you really can't go wrong...
Simple...
Clean...
Classy...

The little tiny pearls on the hearts add a gentle finishing touch that brings the whole design together.

I really hope you like my 'From The Heart' craft dies,.. I've been so careful to design them for us, as crafters, to use for the projects and people we make the most for... family and friends...

The complete collection of dies will be on my website today, with delivery being tomorrow, we will ship them out as soon as they are booked in to stock..

Here's your quick link to the Craft Dies by Phill Martin section on my website :-)

Remember,..
I will give away one of my samples today, to celebrate the release of my dies, so, be sure to leave a comment (good, of course!) and I will choose a name at random later on this afternoon.. I will go through the comments from all my 'reveal' posts :-)
(Good Luck!)

Happy Crafting!
(Thanks so much for all your kind words too - much appreciated!)

1 more day to wait and another sneaky sample :-)

Good Morning Everyone

OK,.. it's now starting to get really close to the official release date (tomorrow!) of my 'From The Heart' craft dies that I am bursting for you to see them!

Still, one more day means I still can't show you the full collection, but I can show you another sample card, made by me, using one of the dies from the range..

As I've mentioned in the last two posts, I've purposely used only Black and Coconut White Foundations card for my samples, a) because I love the combination and b) because they photograph particularly well

Only one more day to wait!

Just so you all know,.. I won't be on TV with my dies until early March...

Anyhoo, I loved making these cards,.. and, to be honest, they were easy to do, once I'd chosen the die set that I was using,.. You know sometimes when you have crafters block?,.. well, I didn't get that with the dies,.. they just made it more fun to spend time deciding on the layout I wanted etc...

So, this card has a 'Thinking Of You' sentiment,.. I think this is one of the most underused sentiments out there,.. as we all assume it's for a sad occasion, but, if you use different colours to the black and coconut white, it can mean anything... 'Thinking Of You' on the front of your card and then 'On Your Special Day' on the inside,... 'Thinking Of You' on the front of your card and then any of my sentiment stamps on the inside,... such an 'open' sentiment that has so many uses (I think so anyway lol)

This is a 16cm x 22cm card and, as always, the sentiment is my focal point...
I hope you like it :-)

One more day!

Here's the completed card

And here's a close up of the centre of my card... notice I've added tiny pearls on the hearts that connect the words :-)

And here's a close up of the actual sentiment,.. I just love the detail and guess what,... you can actually read the words! :-)

Remember,..
I will give away one of my samples on Thursday, to celebrate the release of my dies, so, be sure to leave a comment (good, of course!) and I will choose a name at random on Thursday afternoon.. I will go through the comments from all my 'reveal' posts :-)
(Good Luck!)

Happy Crafting!

My new 'From The Heart' Craft Dies - Only 2 days to go!

Good Afternoon Everyone

Yep,... I'm still excited! (and a teeny bit nervous too!)

There are only 2 days to go until the 4th February,.. a landmark date for me as it will see the release of my new 'From The Heart' craft dies,.. my first ever collection and the result of several months of designing, testing and perfecting!

I've called this my 'From The Heart' Collection and these are sentiment dies (as you would probably have expected from me) and they are designed around our friends, families and the events/occasions that we come across in our lives,..

I've also designed co-ordinating relative sets too, so we are able to acheive a beautiful, seamless finish on our projects..

I can't show you the full range until they are officially released on Thursday, but what I can do is show you some of the cards that I've made with them,.. so, I'm going to show you a card a day up until Thursday, so you'll get a 'feel' for the styling etc...

So, here goes,.. this is card number 2,.. Featuring one of the sentiment dies and the co-ordinating male and female relative sets :-)

I've particularly made sure that you can actually read what the sentiment says! And also that they will all co-ordinate and work with each other too :-)

This is a 21cm x 17cm card, again made with Black & Coconut White Foundations card,.. I've made all my samples with this colour theme as I love the combination and they photograph particularly well :-)
Of course, as they are dies,.. you'll be able to cut them in your favourite colours!
I've also used some of Sues' dies and, I hope you agree, the combination of Sues' flowers etc and my sentiments is a perfect match!

Here is the completed card
(photographed in my craft room at home)

Here's a close up of the centre of the card,. if you know me, you'll know that I say (I know,... frequently! ha ha) that the main focal point of our cards should be the words, the sentiment, what we are trying to convey... this is true not only of cards I make with my stamps, but now with my dies too :-)

And here is a close of up the Mum & Dad die cut,..
I so love having matching products,.. it makes it so easy to get a really 'finished' look.

Remember,..
I will give away one of my samples on Thursday, to celebrate the release of my dies, so, be sure to leave a comment (good, of course!) and I will choose a name at random on Thursday afternoon.. I will go through the comments from all my 'reveal' posts :-)
(Good Luck!)

My NEW 'From The Heart' craft dies :-)

Good Afternoon Everyone

I'm so excited!

In case you haven't heard yet,.. my first ever collection of craft dies will be released by Creative Expressions on Thursday 4th February!

I really hope you like them,... they've been a while in the making (as you know I'm a bit of a perfectionist! ha ha)

I've called this my 'From The Heart' Collection and these are sentiment dies (as you would probably have expected from me) and they are designed around our friends, families and the events/occasions that we come across in our lives,.. the people/occasions we generally make the most cards for...

I can't show you the full range until they are officially released on Thursday, but what I can do is show you some of the cards that I've made with them,.. so, I'm going to show you a card a day up until Thursday, so you'll get a 'feel' for the styling etc...

eek!

So, here goes,.. this was the first card I made, as soon as I got my 'proper' dies (after all the prototypes and tester sets and I said, yes, they're perfect!)

I've particularly made sure that you can actually read what the sentiment says! And also tat they will all co-ordinate and work with each other too :-)

This is an 8x8 card, made with Black & Coconut White Foundations card,..

Here's the complete card (photographed in my craft room at home)

Here's a close up pf the centre of the card,.. the pretty open hearts are also part of my die sets too :-)

And here's a close up of the actual sentiment die,..
I adore this style and the font and the fact that I've connected it all with hearts, some open, some full and all beautifully detailed :-)

Now, I'm not going to give this card away (as it's the first one I ever made with my first ever die collection, it's a sentimental thing (pardon the pun ha ha)
BUT, I will give away one of my samples on Thursday, to celebrate the release of my dies, so, be sure to leave a comment (good, of course!) and I will choose a name at random on Thursday afternoon.. (Good Luck!)

Happy Crafting!
